The Pit Post | Never
The Pit Post Never
again will I ever be able to witness an infant contentedly nursing its mother without thinking of Mother’s Milk, one of the vital liquids (the others guzzoline and water) in Mad Max: Fury Road. And that is precisely what happened this morning on the beach as a plump 3 month-old tugged on his pretty, young, and happy mother in the shade of an umbrella. The beach in question is a miles long stretch of sand on the Tuscan coast. It’s the last days of June, so the seaside, or as the Italians call it, “il Mare,” at least during the week, is still uncrowded. By mid-July there will be precious little space to spread sun protection factor 30 lotion on your loved one, so packed with people will it be as Italians begin migrating from the cities for their summer holidays.
